Safety Tip Line
APS participates in the Special Safety Tip Line in Ohio:
1.844.SAFEROH or 1.844.723.3764
The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Public Safety have the SaferOH tip line that will accept both calls and texts 24 hours a day for schools that register for the service.
This tip line allows students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety — whether that involves a threatened mass incident or harm to a single student.
CrimeStoppers
The Crimestoppers program is a interactive safety tool where students can text or phone in (anonymously) crime tips to local law enforcement. If the tip helps Crimestoppers, then the person who made the call receives a gift card as a reward.
Here is how it works:
Students text the word TIPSCO and their crime-solving tip to “CRIMES” (274637)
OR call 330.434.2677.
Why do it?
Your assistance will work to reduce violence in our schools and make students feel safer.
All information you give Crimestoppers remains anonymous.
